The Francisco Festa 2017 tookplace today. The students had been looking forward to this day for a long time, and they were so excited!

In the morning there were lots of Culture Classrooms for the children to enjoy. Guest instructors organised futsal practice, pottery, plastic model making (and racing!), science experiments, gel candle-making, T-shirt/bag stencilling, moss pets and cartonnage. The kids’ eyes lit up as they were given the chance to experience such interesting activities!

As well as these, the children had a wonderful time shopping in the stationery corner, the Sisters’ stall and the second-hand book stall, where they found some great bargains.

At the Ennichi fair they played darts and the ring-toss, and won exciting prizes!

In the afternoon, the action moved to Kolbe Court. This year Marco-san made another appearance with his amazing magic show, and a special guest, Jomo-san, joined him on stage. The children couldn’t believe their eyes!

During the interval there was some fantastic beatboxing and rapping from some talented teachers and students.

Then Kazu-sensei appeared on stage. The students were amazed by his superb science show!

Everyone ended the day with such a big smile on their face!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the hard work of all the parents involved in the planning and organising of today’s event. Thank you so much to all of you who made this year’s Francisco Festa such a success – we are so very grateful for all your efforts!
